Rwanda 0-0 Congo-Brazzaville

Ndila Pavelh, the goalkeeper of Congo-Brazzaville, produced a string of fine saves as Rwanda settled for a second draw this week.

The hosts started brightly at Amahoro Stadium, controlling possession for much of the time in either half, but Amavubi forwards proved too wasteful to break the deadlock.

Ernest Sugira had two clear chances to find the back of the net but his efforts were thwarted by Pavelh who was fantastic in Congo’s goal.

The frustrating draw follows another goalless draw against Cameroon, in Yaoundé, on Tuesday.

The two friendly matches are part of Rwanda’s preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN 2020), due April 4-25 in Cameroon.

Rwanda has been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Uganda, and Togo.
