Singer Adrien Misigaro’s Melody New Hope initiative, in collaboration with local gospel artistes, is organising a musical concert at Intare Conference Arena on March 8.

The main objective of the concert is to create awareness about drug abuse among youth.

It will feature performances from renowned gospel artistes, including Israel Mbonyi and brothers Gentil Misigaro and Adrien Misigaro, among others.

Speaking about the concert, Misigaro said: "We’re organising this event because we want to reach out to the youth through music to create awareness on drug abuse. As we all know music over the years has acted as an instrumental tool to create awareness, so we want to send out a message to the youth through music,” said Misigaro.

"This kind of activity will keep the young generation out of drugs and our main objective is to raise awareness about its addiction,” added the ‘Nzagerayo’ star.

The concert will conclude in Huye District on March 15.

Melody New Hope was formed by gospel artiste Misigaro in Iwawa Rehabilitation and Vocational Skills Development Centre in Rutsiro District in November last year to bring about positive social change through various social innovations and to nurture gospel artistes.
