The Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, Dr Charles Murigande, has called upon the Church to inspire morality, if it is to achieve its prime goal of transforming the society.

He said this yesterday during the celebration to mark the second anniversary of the Christ Church in Rwanda (CCR) where he was Guest of Honour.

Moved by the achievements by the Gacuriro-based church over the past two years, Murigande advised the church to always reflect on what is preached to transform the communities where they operate.

"There is a lot to celebrate today, when I review the achievements of this church, it has worked towards transforming the community, this is a contribution towards making vision 2020 a reality,” the Minister told the congregation. He said a healthy church should be in position to transform the community both physically and spiritually.

According to Murigande, CCR has facilitated over 54 Rwandan students to have scholarships in the United States of America (USA) and helped the training of different groups of people in education and business.

The church which has grown to attract between 200 and 300 worshippers, of 70 percent Rwandans.
