Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) women volleyball club have appointed Jean Paul Mana as their head coach on a two-year contract, with option for extension.

The development was confirmed to Saturday Sport on Friday by Providence Mukamurenzi, the club’s team manager.

"We are happy to confirm Mana as our new coach for the next two years,” said Mukamurenzi.

Mana, 43, takes up the club’s hot seat following the resignation of Ugandan tactician Johnson Kawenyera whose appointment was announced late December.

"Mana has vast experience and knowledge in domestic volleyball. We are confident he will guide our team to success.”

The tax collectors side start their league campaign on Saturday against IPRC-Kigali, at 9am, and Ruhanga at 11am. Both games will be played at Amahoro Stadium.

Mana also serves as head coach of the men’s national beach volleyball teams in the ongoing qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
