Semi-finals REG Vs Espoir 18:00 IPRC–Kigali Vs APR 20:00

Holders Rwanda Energy Group (REG) will be looking to reach the final of the Heroes Cup basketball tournament for a third consecutive year when they face Espoir on Friday night.

The game starts at 6pm, at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

REG captain Ali Kazingufu has rallied his teammates to ‘take seriously’ Espoir game after dominating UGB 96-67 on Wednesday to finish the preliminary round as Group A leaders.

"I think we have been solid in the tournament so far, but there is still work to do. The ultimate mission is to retain the title, so we must take serious Espoir on Friday,” he said.

In a separate interview, Espoir head coach Janvier Kamanzi conceded that his side will be facing one of the best teams in Rwandan basketball, but emphasized "But, we won’t be intimidated.”

In another semi-final game, IPRC–Kigali will be up against APR at 8pm, same venue.
