TEL AVIV - The annual Cybertech Exhibition commenced on January 28 in Tel Aviv, Israel, bringing together about 200 exhibitors in the cybertech sector from around 80 countries across the world.

Key players represented include Microsoft, Cyber Ark, Cybereason and IBM Security among others.

The exhibition is part of Cybertech Global Tel Aviv conference and exhibition event that is expected to be officially inaugurated on Wednesday January 29.

The conference brings together government officials, globally renowned cybertech companies and startups, investors and many other key players in the cybertech industry to showcase and analyze innovations and solutions in the cyber community.

Speaking to The New Times, Shelly Kaminer, Business Development and International Relations Manager of Cybertech events said that the exhibition is continuously growing.

"We are now on our seventh year doing this exhibition as part of the whole event of Cybertech, and every year the number of exhibitors and attendees keep on increasing,” she said.

She added: "Cyber is everything; it affects you on many levels. Here we are displaying solutions that would help people manage any threats that would occur to them, whether through smart phones, emails or at the business level.”

Yaniv Azani, CTO of  National Cyber Unit in Israeli Police, which is taking part in the exhibition, noted that the initiative is beneficial.

"This is an opportunity for us. We are here for many purposes; getting to know new tools and technologies in this industry, and exposure to the ecosystem,” he said.

Among other exhibitors include the stand for Cybertech Africa, which according to Rwanda Convention Bureau has been set up to connect with exhibitors willing to participate in the upcoming Cybertech Africa Conference and Exhibition event that will be held in Kigali, March this year.

Rwanda will be the first-ever country in Africa to host the Summit, since its inception in 2014, succeeding last year’s event that was hosted in Tokyo, Japan.
