Elie Mutabazi, APR volleyball club legend and current head coach.

APR volleyball club have said that they are targeting the Heroes Cup title after finishing top of Pool B over the weekend.

The former local giants will face Rwanda Energy Group (REG) in semi-finals on Saturday.

Elie Mutabazi’s APR beat Gisagara in a five-set thriller on Sunday to confirm their slot in the last four, a day edging IPRC-East also in five sets.

"We want to win the tournament, and I believe we are on the right track. But, of course, REG stand between us and the final,” said Mutabazi, who is a legend of the club.

"We have a few days to prepare for the semi-finals, and hopefully the final too. We just need to stay focused and take one game at a time as we did in the group stage.”

In another semi-final, also due Saturday, Pool A leaders UTB will be up against Gisagara who finished second in Pool B.
