Police Football Club head coach Francis Christian Haringingo is a man full of confidence ahead of the Ubutwari Tournament second clash between his side and rivals APR at Kigali Stadium on Tuesday.

Police go into the second game looking to beat the holders of the annual heroes' tournament, having won its first encounter against SC Kiyovu 2-1.

Haringingo said his team are in a bullish mood and were in position to beat anyone in the competition.

He fired the warning shot after leading his side to victory against the Green Buggies last week on Saturday.

APR is leading the table standings with three points and a two-goal deference while Police are second with three points and one goal deference while SC Kiyovu and Mukura have lost their first games.

Speaking about the second game, Haringingo said: "We are pleased to reach this level. The boys put up a spirited performance to get through a very tough game.”

"In the next game, Police will be ready to face good team but we are looking forward to maximum points. I am really impressed with the boys and I believe we are on the right track, but first we must overcome APR,” the Burundian tactician added.

Meanwhile, on Saturday holders APR fought back from a goal down to beat Mukura Victory Sport 3-1 in the Ubutwari Cup tournament at Kigali Stadium on Saturday.

However, APR’s Moroccan coach Mohamed Adil Erradi is equally confident of getting victory today.

He was particularly buoyed by the first win over Mukura on Saturday, and is full of praise for his boys.

"It was the best match of the tournament and it should not have come at this stage, but it came nonetheless. I am happy with this win because the boys played and we need to work hard for the next game,” he said.

Adil added: "I am really impressed with the boys and I believe we are on the right track to win second game, and we must overcome Police.”

In other match which will be played early today, SC Kiyovu will play against Mukura VS at Kigali Stadium, kickoff at 3:00.

The winners will pocket Rwf6 million, with the first runners-up earning Rwf4 million, while the second runners-up will receive Rwf3 million.
