JUNIOR RUMAGA, whose style of art in doing poetry is growing bigger and better. He recently collaborated with other artists on a poetry project that talks about the amazing journey of parenthood.

The project, 'Umwana Araryoha' which means 'The child is so sweet,’ features Riderman and Peace Jolis. It is one of the series of poems on Rumaga's debut album 'Mawe', (My Mother).

"I was thinking about the life of a child and a parent. All the stanzas highlight the bond from when a mother conceives, the does and don'ts, when a child is born and the life of growing up as well as the way parents should raise the child effectively," Rumaga told The New Times.

Rumaga said that talking about this topic has been one of his biggest dreams as it is part of everyone's story and he is glad to make it. He added that although he has no child yet, based on other people's testimonies, "there is nothing that can make someone as happy as having your very own child."

Riderman a father of three, shared his insights on the bond between a child and the parents, saying that there is nothing parents can ever compare to holding their children in their arms and that one can never trade that best feeling for anything on earth.

"It was so amazing to work with the talented poet, Rumaga and most especially when he told me about the project name, I could easily relate as a parent, and by then I had the twins who were toddlers of a few months by then. So, I shared my lines well enough since I was speaking from experience," he told The New Times.

Peace Jolis said that he was so happy to be featured in the project that tackles the ‘sweetness’ of a child since his art often focuses on kids.

"There is a huge part of my art that I dedicated to children. Working on this was a plus and a good friend of kids, I can really confirm that children are so amazing," he said.

Rumaga shared that Riderman was his first choice of artistes because not only is he a father, he is also a good artist when it comes to poetry. Peace, on the other hand is also a good artist and has worked with children in his projects.
