Heroes will be looking to become the first team to beat APR when the two sides face off on at Bugesera Stadium on Saturday afternoon, starting at 3pm.

Leaders APR go into the match looking to stretch their current unbeaten run to 14 games this season, whereas league newcomers Heroes eye the third victory in the Rwanda Premier League after only managing two wins in 13 matches.

Mohammed Adil Erradi has challenged his APR players to maintain their unbeaten record this season. "We should keep this record for as long as we can. We cannot take Heroes lightly.”

APR travel to Bugesera Stadium at the back of a 3-2 win over Gasogi United from last weekend, while Heroes were humiliated 4-1 by reigning champions Rayon Sports.

"We are playing away, so we can’t take anything for granted. We know we will have to battle very hard for the three points,” added the Moroccan tactician.

Richard Kalimba, the interim head coach of Heroes, said: "It is going to be a tough match against the leaders. Nonetheless, if we execute well our game plan, winning is not impossible.”

This will be Kalimba’s first match in charge following the resignation of Stephen Johansson after his bottom side’s thumping defeat to Rayon last Sunday.

In the meantime, Bugesera will be looking for a crucial win when they face Gicumbi at Mumena Stadium as they seek to move into 7th position with 19 points.
