Gospel artistes have been in a dilemma over the lack of motivation due to lack of specific awards for them.
The only East African gospel Awards dedicated to recognising best performing artistes every year are now back. The Maranatha awards.
"We appreciate the great work and are looking forward to carrying on and doing more to contribute to the development of Rwanda’s gospel music industry as long as we are voted,” said Gaby Kamanzi, one of the contestants.
From the six categories of East African Maranatha awards, the jury will pick the overall Artist of the year.
The preliminary list contains 5 artists in each category and is now out for public voting.
December 18 ahead of the grand awarding gala on Friday December 20.
Maranatha awards is a part of Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards which is facilitated by Global Music Revival Ministry that was founded by Brian Trigga.
