Dieudonné Mugunga was left ruing his team’s missed opportunities following a goalless draw against APR in the Rwanda Premier League on Friday.

"I am not contented with the draw. We could have done better,” he said in an interview with Sunday Sport on Saturday.

APR were forced to defend for large portions of the game, but a disciplined defensive effort reduced their hosts to pot-shots from distance that rarely troubled goalkeeper Umar Rwabugiri.

Looking to end their 27-year wait for a first top-flight league title, SC Kiyovu started the better side and could have opened the scoring in the 76th minute but Cameroonian forward Armel Ghislain’s effort was denied by Rwabugiri.

"I am happy that my players showed great football, especially in the second half but we need to work on our finishing. We missed many chances that could earn us all the points.”

The Mumema-based side are fifth on the 16-team table with 15 points, three adrift of leaders Police and second-placed APR.
