Lambert Mugwaneza, popularly known by many as Social Mula on the Rwandan music scene, has said that missing out on the Prix Decouvertes will not affect his upcoming album launch that is slated for November 23.

The award, which is usually given to artistes from French-speaking countries, was this year won by Congolese songstress Celine Banza. Social Mula believes it was a free and fair competition and congratulates the artiste for the milestone.

"I want to congratulate Celine Banza for having won the award and wish her all the best in her career,’’ he told The New Times.

The "Ndiho” singer noted that his losing out on the award will not affect his upcoming album launch as it is something he has been preparing for a very long time.

"I want to inform all my fans that having failed to win the award will not in any way affect preparations for my upcoming album launch as it is something that I have been preparing for a long period now as compared to the awards.’’

He said that preparations are currently in high gear, and a number of artistes including, Bruce Melody, King James, Marina and Yvan Buravan have already confirmed their participation.

"My fans should be ready to have a good time come November 23, at Camp Kigali, as there will be a huge line up of artistes, and very soon people will be informed of where they can buy tickets for the show,’’ he said.
