TEAM Rwanda’s Moise Mugisha will be riding his third day in the Yellow Jersey as the 32nd Tour du Faso heads into Stage 6 on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old, who leads second-placed Manuel Antonio Dario by 38 seconds, has been in the coveted jersey since claiming Stage 3 with a stunning solo finish on Sunday.

After the opening first stages, Mugisha has used a total time of 12 hours, 13 minutes and 15 seconds, with the closest teammate Jean Claude Nzafashwanayo coming in fifth position with 45 seconds off, a time he shares with sixth-placed Didier Munyaneza.

Samuel Mugisha, winner of the 2018 Tour du Rwanda, goes into Stage 6 looking to break into top ten as he lies in 11th spot, six seconds behind his compatriots Nzafashwanayo and Munyaneza.

In Wednesday’s Stage 6, the riders will battle it out from the Burkina Faso capital Ouagadougou to Koudougou on a parcours of 118.3km distance.

The last time Rwanda participated in Tour du Faso, in 2006, Mugisha was only 9-year old.
