Rwanda Premier League side SC Kiyovu have been ordered to pay their former coach Andre Casa Mbungo up to Rwf 6.5million following his unlawful dismissal last October.

Mbungo, who has since joined Kenyan giants AFCLeopards, won the case against SC Kiyovu twice in front of the local football association’s (Ferwafa) conflict solving committee.

And according to Ferwafa, the committee will soon write a letter to Kiyovu informing them of the deadline to pay the dues to Mbungo.

This publication understands that Mbungo initially sought to settle the matter amicably but SC Kiyovu management did not cooperate.

"I tried to sort things out with the club amicably but they did not cooperate,” Mbungo told Times Sport in a telephone interview.

It is reported that SC Kiyovu will not have the right to sign new players until they fully address the arrears issue with Mbungo who also previously coached Police and AS Kigali.

This is not the first time that SC Kiyovu are being accused of failing to pay their coaches. The Green Baggies also previously failed to honour salary commitments to former coaches Ally Bizimungu, Jean Baptiste Kayiranga, and Innocent Seninga.

Times Sports repeatedly tried to reach SC Kiyovu President, Leonard Bushayija, on his known telephone line for comment on Thursday but he did not respond to any of our calls.
