New kid on the block Sintex and hip hop artiste Ama-G the Black are set to perform in two shows dubbed, "Kigali to Musanze’’ and "The Beach Party’’ in Rubavu today, October 4, and tomorrow respectively.

The first show will be held at Africana Bistro this evening. Entrance fee is Rwf3000 (regular), and Rwf5,000 (VIP), and all come with a free drink.

On Saturday, all roads will lead to Rubavu District, for the ‘Beach Party’ at the Lakeside Bar and Restaurant. Doors open at 6pm and the party will go on till late. Tickets will be available at the entrance at Rwf2,000.

Ras Junior, the co-organisers of the shows, told The New Times that there is a need to extend entertainment events to other parts of the country, as many are held in Kigali.

"You realise many of the major events held in the country happen in Kigali, and rarely in the other parts of the country, and as event organisers, we need to change this, by taking them outside Kigali with hope that others do the same,’’ he said.

Sintex said expressed his excitement to perform for his fans outside Kigali: "I always receive messages of fans from upcountry, telling me how they would love to have me perform for them, and I believe this is going to be a chance to get closer to my fans in Musanze and Rubavu.’’
