KIGALI ARENA has been confirmed as the venue to host Game 6 fixtures of the basketball playoffs finals this Friday, Times Sport has learned.

And, should the series – in either category, men or women – head to the decisive Game 7, the recently inaugurated facility will also be used on Saturday.

Ahead of Game 6 action, APR lead the Hoops Rwanda 3-2 in women’s finals, while Rwanda Energy Group (REG) hold the same advantage over defending champions Patriots in men’s series.

Billed as the biggest and most modern basketball facility in the Central and Eastern Africa, Kigali Arena also accommodated Game 1 fixtures on August 9, the very day it was inaugurated.

From Game 2 to 5, Amahoro Indoor Stadium was used as the venue, which has increasingly proved to be small compared to the turn-up of fans.
