Local gospel artistes to grace Slaves of Worship show
Thursday, August 15, 2019
Gospel dance group, Shining Stars Team is organising the Slaves of Worship show, slated for August 18.

Famous gospel artistes including Patient Bizimana, Christian Irimbere, Arsene Tuyi, Serge Iyamuremye, and music duo James and Daniella Rugarama will on Sunday, August 18, minister at the second edition of ‘Slaves of Worship’ at Evangelical Restoration Church Masoro.

Now in its second edition, the event is organised by ‘Shining Stars Team’, a gospel dance group from the Evangelical Restoration Church in Masoro. It aims at preaching to people about salvation through the art of music and drama.

It will also feature local music teams Tehillah Dawn Ministries, Shekinah Dance Group Masoro, and Shekinah Worship Team Masoro.

According to Jake Kezi, the President of Shining Stars Team, the initiative has been bearing fruits, with several people giving their lives to Christ, in the previous edition, in 2016.

"Our overall message is to tell people that we have been saved from the slavery of the devil, and we are now slaves of righteousness in Jesus,” he said.

This year’s show will be held under the theme retrieved from the book of Romans 6:18, "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”   "Our main goal is to bring people to Christ through performances including dances, and drama sketches. The Bible says that when one person changes his ways and receives Christ, there are celebrations in heaven,” Kezi added.

The event will also involve sermons from Pastor Joshua Masasu, the Founder of Restoration Church, who will be the speaker of the day.
