Junior Amavubi team off to Eritrea for Cecafa Challenge Cup

The National U-15 football team were in an upbeat mood as they departed Wednesday night ahead of the Cecafa U15 boys Challenge Cup that starts on August 16 in Eritrea.

The continental showpiece starts Friday and will run through to September 1.

Rwanda is in Group B alongside Ethiopia, Uganda and South Sudan.

Yves Rwasamanzi, the U-15 team coach thinks his team is good enough to win tournament.

"I was impressed by the morale and talent of the youngsters in training, and I am confident we are going to do better. Our target is to challenge for the trophy,” Rwasamanzi said.
