Rwandan comedian to perform at the ‘Laugh Festival’ in Nairobi

Rwandan radio presenter and comedian Arthur Nkusi is one of the comedians that will feature at this year’s ‘Laugh Festival’ comedy show that has been organised in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The show is slated for July 26-27, and it has attracted a number of comedians from within Africa and from across the globe.

Among the notable comedians that are also performing at the show is Patrick Idringi (Salvador) and Agnes Akite all from Uganda together with Eric Omondi from the host nation. The same comedians were in Rwanda a few months ago for the ‘Seka Fest’ that was organised by Arthur Nkusi.

The ‘Laugh Festival’ is happening for the third time after its maiden show in 2016 and also happened the following year but could not be held last year.

Besides the already popular names, a number of other comedians will grace the event and these include Njambi McGrath from the United Kingdom, Mc Jessy, Dj Shiti, Prof Hamo, Sleepy David, Mammito and MCA Tricky among others.

In a telephone interview with The New Times, Arthur Nkusi expressed his delight for being selected yet again to be part of the show which he has performed at since its inception three years ago in 2016.

"I am really happy that I have been selected again to go to Nairobi to do comedy. It is only me and Salvador that have been consistently attending the annual event from the time it was started. It goes a long way to show how my comedy is developing and I am really thankful,’’ he said.

The show will take place at the Carnival Gardens in Nairobi and entrance to the venue will cost

Ksh 1000 for the ordinary section, Ksh 2000 for the VIP and

Ksh 5000 for the VVIP section.
