Scandinavia will be looking to preserve their 100 per cent record and staying top of the table when they take on Bugesera in the women’s national football league on Monday afternoon.

Kick-off 1pm, at Umuganda Stadium pitch 2.

After fifteen match rounds, the Rubavu-based side lead the log with a maximum 45 points, three ahead of second-placed AS Kigali. The latter host Inyemera at Mumena Stadium on Sunday.

"Any slight mistake will see AS Kigali moving up the top, so every game means the title for us,” Radjab Bizumuremyi, the Scandinavia head coach, told Sunday Sport on Saturday.

Bizumuremyi’s side are top of the table since April when they thrashed bitter rivals AS Kigali 3-0. The latter are ten-time reigning champions of the league, since 2010.

In other match-day 16 fixtures, strugglers Gakenke face third-placed Rambura, ES Mutunda delight AS Kabuye while bottom side Rugende will be up against Kamonyi.

Rambura have 25 points, while Kamonyi (22) complete top four. With 8 and 3 points respectively, Gakenke and Rugende occupy the bottom two places of the ten-team table.
