Cecafa Kagame Cup: APR hope for winning start

Three-time winners APR start their bid for the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup glory this afternoon at Kigali stadium against Ugandan side Proline.

The tournament will run through July 21.

Two matches are on the cards on Saturday with Somalia’s Heegan taking on Green Buffaloes, of Zambia, in the opening match. at the same venue.

"We are ready. The atmosphere in the team is positive, and players are in buoyant mood ,” said APR interim coach Jimmy Mulisa.

The former APR and Amavubi forward added that, "We have studied well our opponents’ (Proline) game. I have spoken with my players, and urged them to relax and just focus on executing our game plan.”

Proline are making their debut in the Cecafa Kagame Cup.
