Electrifying presentations of Kwibohora25

It was a joyous celebration as Rwandans turned up in thousands to mark the 25th Liberation anniversary at Amahoro National Stadium.

Various Rwandan artistes performed and enthralled the stadium which was filled to capacity, as President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame led the celebrations attended by visiting Heads of State and dignitaries from across the continent and the world.

The mood of victory and unity was exhibited at the stadium, as Rwandans, and people from all walks of life, turned out in large numbers to celebrate for the 25th time, the country’s liberation struggle.

Leading the performances was a parade by the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and Rwanda National Police (RNP) supported by the well-organised brass band.

It was also characterised by performances from the National Ballet Urukerereza, renowned Rwandan actress, singer, poet Malaika Uwamahoro, singers Bruce Melodie, Dream Boys, Jules Sentore, among others who were backed by students of Nyundo School of Art and music.

Female saxophonist Stella Tush, singer Peace Jolis and Mashirika Troupe, among others, were involved in the performances that excited the big crowd.

The performers entertained revellers with patriotic songs while Uwamahoro impressed the audience with her poems reminiscent of the country’s struggle of liberation.

Her ballads, coupled with spectacular traditional performances, delighted those in attendance. Later in the evening, thousands were treated to a Liberation Concert featuring different artistes including Mariya Yonana, Charly na Nina, Francois Nsengiyumva, Sergeant Robert, Bruce Melodies and many more.
