NORTHERN PROVINCE

GICUMBI—After too long, 1917 former Rwandan refugees last week left Kibati in western Uganda for their home district last week in Gicumbi.

The men, who have been taken to Mutobo solidarity camp, and the children and mothers who returned home aboard government-hired vehicles, both say that food rations for the last of the returnees had been low for some time.

Recent reports though by some media sources say that the returnee claims of food shortage at the camps are unfounded. Upon visiting the camp, supplies were found in abundance. Hoes and other farm equipments were also provided to returnees to start life in their villages.
