Saidi Iragire is now a Rayon Sports player following the end of his spell with Azam Rwanda Premier League rivals Mukura Victory Sports.

The sensational central defender penned a two-year deal with the Blues on Thursday evening, just a few hours after Mukura announced his departure via the club’s official Twitter handle.

The club bid farewell to the player, saying: "We would like to let you know that we have parted ways with defender Iragire Saidi. We wish him nothing but the best in the future.”

It is reported that the 26-year-old forced his move to the newly crowned league champions, despite Mukura tabling him a new contract to extend his two-year stint with the yellow-and-black outfit.

Iragire had joined Mukura in July 2017 from Burundi topflight side Muzinga. He was one of the earlier signings for Francis Haringingo who had just been appointed as head coach, also from another Burundi outfit, Vital’O.

The vastly talented centre-back, who helped Mukura to clinch the 2018 Peace Cup title, was also pivotal in the club’s impressive run in the CAF Confederation Cup last season and third place finish in the just concluded 2018/2019 topflight leaguee.
