He last performed in Rwanda in March 2015, at the Arthur Amplified comedy show at Kigali Serena Hotel.

This Saturday, June 8,  Zambian award-winning R&B singer Roberto Banda returns to his Rwandan fans after a long absence, for the Triple Video launch event at Wakanda Villa in Kabeza.

The ‘Amarulah’ hitmaker will join Rwandan musicians DJ Pius and new R&B kid on the block Amalon, as they each premiere the videos of their respective singles.

Roberto will premiere the video for ‘Alright’, his latest collabo with Kenyan rapper King Kaka, while DJ Pius will be dropping the video clip for his latest single, ‘Homba homboka’ (high heels).

Meanwhile, Amalon, who is signed to DJ Pius’s 1K Entertainment label, will drop the visuals for his new single, ‘Impanga’ (twins).

Amalon has enjoyed success on the local music scene ever since he released his smash R&B hit, ‘Byakubaho’, a few months ago. The reward for this success has been bookings to perform at choice concerts, like the Burna Boy Experience, at the Intare Arena in March this year, and most recently, at the 4th anniversary of the Kigali Jazz Junction, at Camp Kigali.

"I chose to bring in Roberto because of our relationship or our past. I have done a song with him before. At the moment he is in Kenya, and Kenya is close to Rwanda, so I proposed to him to come and we do a show together and possibly even a song, and he accepted. As for Amalon, he is under my label, 1K Entertainment, which is basically an Entertainment company for DJs, but we have DJ Pius and Amalon as musicians on the label,” DJ Pius explained.

Entrance to the event is Rwf5,000 and Rwf3,000.
