The national volleyball head coach Paul Bitok has admitted that he is wary of ‘African giants’ Egypt at the 2019 Africa Zone 5 Volleyball Championships, which kicks off today in Nairobi, Kenya.

Rwanda will start her quest against Tanzania on Tuesday before taking on Uganda, Egypt and Kenya from Wednesday to Friday, respectively.

The Kenyan tactician says his side are ready, and the target is to win the tournament and qualify for the All-Africa Games.

"We want to win the title, and we are ready for the challenge. It is going to be a tough one, but it is possible,” said Bitok.

"Egypt, as African giants, are the favourites. And then Kenya as the hosts.”

Bitok and his 14-man squad departed Kigali Saturday night.
