RWANDA VOLLEYBALL FEDERATION (FRVB) secretary-general Adalbert Mfashimana has confirmed that Rwanda’s men and women national teams will be taking part in the upcoming CAVB Zone V championships in Kenya.

Rwanda will be vying for the All Africa Games qualification, alongside giants Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Qualifiers for women will take place in Uganda.

Both qualifiers will be held from May 10-June 15.

"We will provide full details about the team’s training programme in two weeks time,” said Mfahimana.

He said also it is a good time to see if both the men and women teams can get qualification for All Africa Games due in Morocco in August.

"The men’s team will be under Paul Bitok,” he said, adding that they are yet to decide on who the women team’s coach will be.
