Worry less for the best is yet to come

Letting go of the past is the first step to healing.

Coping with the loss of loved ones, of a life you once knew but now all gone, is an exceedingly traumatising experience. Those who lost family and friends in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi still mourn, 25 years later. The country still mourns.

But as the saying goes, there is always light at the end of a tunnel. Rwandans with their strong and resilient nature are overcoming this ache from the horrible past.

We need to understand that as we grieve we need to do our best to overcome and find reason in living. This is why, as we remember our loved ones who lost their lives, let us also remember that we have to renew ourselves and most importantly choose to live.

Let us worry less and know that there is still hope, for worrying can only make matters worse.

Sometimes we can’t control everything that happens in our lives, and in cases like these we need to learn to let go.

Moving on can be tough but believe that you are a warrior, that you survived and you are still standing.

Rwandans chose reconciliation and unity, it is what prevails and it is what will lead this great nation to prosperity.
