Park Inn Hotel in Kigali inked partnership with SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda in a variety of areas that will benefit thousands of children beneficiaries of the organization.

The four agreements were signed on Wednesday April 3, 2019 in Kigali at Park Inn Hotel, part of Radisson Hotel Group.

Among the commitments include providing an annual sponsorship to SOS Children’s Villages and giving the youth at SOS Children’s Villages internship and job placements in the hotel when available.

The hotel will also be organizing and facilitating fundraising events whenever possible for SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda.

The agreements also include placing donation boxes at Park Inn by Radisson Blu for donations by the hotel’s generous clients.

Global relationship

The noble relationship started early last year when Radisson Hotel Group and SOS Children’s Village inked the relationship on a worldwide scale.

The agreements meant that 1,100 Radison Group hotels in operation will sponsor the upbringing and education of at least one child per hotel and help establish meaningful local relationships with SOS Villages worldwide.

During the partnership launch in April last year, John M. Kidd the Chief Executive Officer and Operating Officer at Radisson Hospitality Inc. noted that the partnership is a fulfillment of the hotel’s responsibility in the human society.

"This partnership with SOS Children's Villages brings our core values full circle and aligns with our Responsible Business commitment to Think People, Think Community and Think Planet," said Kidd.

He hailed SOS for providing to orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children more than just food and shelter; it provides them a chance to have a family and a future” and added that "Together with SOS, we will help transform lives through care, hospitality and compassion."

Lynn Croneberger the Chief Executive Officer at SOS Children's Villages USA explained the position of SOS rebuilding communities, saying that their goal is to make children live the childhood they deserve.

"At SOS, we create communities of strong, loving families so vulnerable children have the opportunity to heal, learn and enjoy the kind of safe and healthy childhood they deserve," said Croneberger.

Croneberger expressed the humanitarian organisation’s delight to partner with Radisson Blue.
