PATRIOTS will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Espoir in the Bank of Kigali National Basketball League Friday night.

The game starts at 8pm, at Amahoro Stadium.

The Patriots were on the wrong side of an 81-78 defeat to IPRC-Kigali last Friday, and according to head coach Henry Mwinuke, they are determined to avoid a second setback in as many games.

Victory for the two-time reigning champions will see them reclaiming the top spot from rivals Rwanda Energy Group, whom they are level at 17 points after nine league games – having each lost once and recorded eight wins.

Maxime Mwiseneza’s Espoir are third with 15 points.

The much-awaited clash will be preceded by another league encounter between IPRC-Kigali and United Generation Basketball (UGB) at 6pm, same venue.

IPRC-Kigali are sixth on the nine-team table with 13 points, one ahead of 7th-placed UGB.
