EUGENE MUTARA discovers the wonder that is "Royale Villas”

In the land of a thousand hills, so are a thousand blessings when one looks for a place to spend and taste his/her own sweat.

Talk about the mountain gorillas in Kinigi Musanze district in Northern Province and the spectacular landscapes. The beauty in Rwanda is endless.

This has attracted foreign tourists making the hospitality industry a priority in Rwanda’s economic sector with investors induced to invest in the industry.

Hotels, Bars, Motels, guest houses, lodges, restaurants not forgetting Villas have been built making the hospitality industry more diverse and comfortable.

You will go to many places but you will rarely find services that rival what awaits you if you head to ‘Royale Villas’ in Nyarutarama.

On your way off road to the Kigali International Airport from the city centre, you take the road to Nyarutarama at the Gishushu round about just after the parliamentary buildings in Kimihurura. It has become a centre of entertainment and a hang out for the rich and the city "corporates”.

Perched on a hill in this upscale Kigali suburb is the Royale Villas. Its magnificence starts with its name. The name is a French-English one.

Royale meaning royal and Villas meaning holiday house. If you wanted to have a good time outside the city’s noise over the weekend or honeymoon, Royale Villas would be a great destination.

It is best described as a Royal house that will give you satisfaction of what you want to be served. It has ten big bedrooms, which are a hallmark of its spaciousness.

It is akin to staying in a five star, but given its size, one would equate it to a four star. This is because it is small compared to the big hotels. Here probably due to it’s not so big size, staff relate closely with clientele.

You are mostly going to feel like you are being treated like a King. Probably, this is why it has royal in its name. You can also make it your home, by cooking yourself what you love most or order for any dish in the world from Japanese, Chinese or Philippine down to traditional Kinyarwanda food.

The chief of the cuisine has experience of over 20 years having worked in different parts of the world. Quality is paramount and has added on the standard of services at the villas. There are no rules and regulations of when to have your services.

With no doubt, the place has earned a special place in the hearts of many Kigalians. This is witnessed by the many people who flock it especially on weekends.

As the motto of the villas suggests ‘your comfort is our Passion’ at Royale Villas a client will always be treated as a king.

Employees from RIEPA, MTN and BCR have tasted the quality services of arranging cocktails, meetings and dinners there.

According to Turasenga, the place has also been appreciated by foreign journalists from the White House who recently visited Rwanda.

He plans to build more Villas in different places in the country to give his clientele the best service. Last year two carnival nights took place at the Royale Villas.
