Maxime Mwiseneza had urged his Espoir players to take ‘seriously’ their league game against lowly United Generation for Basketball (UGB), and aim for victory as they resume the chase for a first league title in four years.

The six-time champions host UGB at Amahoro Stadium on Saturday afternoon, starting at 1pm.

The Nyamirambo-based side are fourth on the Bank of Kigali National Basketball League table with 13 points, having won five and lost three games in their first eight matches this term.

"We want to try winning every game in the league’s second-half, we won’t take any opponent for granted. The battle starts with UGB on Saturday,” said the national team’s assistant coach, Mwiseneza.

He further revealed that his side’s target this season is to win one of the two major titles in domestic basketball, either the league title or playoffs title.
