FEATURED: I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc. launches a robust social media engagement campaign

I&M Bank Rwanda maybe the oldest financial institution but it is also one that has kept up with the times. The Bank recognizes and adapts to changing technological trends and appreciates the need to stay in touch with its clients on the social media platforms. For this, the Bank is launching a major social media engagement campaign for the month of March 2019.

Although I&M Bank Rwanda already has great presence on various social media platforms, this campaign aims to boost engagement with its clients and online audience in ways that make social media fun while at the same time offering an opportunity for the Bank and its clients to understand each other better. The campaign will have several challenges with some resulting in lucky or most active users being rewarded at the end of the campaign.

Social media users with small and new businesses and those with great business ideas too will be able to take part in a one month campaign called I&M Push to Start. At the end of the campaign, three customers with the most creative or innovative business ideas that are shared and liked most could stand a chance to win big prizes of between Rwf 500,000 and Rwf2,000,000. This will be an opportunity to reaffirm to our customers that we want to grow with them. To keep the conversation going there will also be a selfie challenge. This is where users attach a creative story explaining why they bank with I&M Bank Rwanda or answering questions on the different financial products that the Bank offers in order to win different prizes. Sharing of tips on saving or how saving has impacted on one’s life will also lead to one winning a top up of Rwf 100,000. This amount will be deposited into their I&M Bank Savings Account.

Every Friday during the month of March 2019, social media users will have the opportunity to directly engage with the Bank’s MD and other senior management officials to ask questions or even recommend new services or products that they would like the Bank to offer. Polls on general topics will be done every once in a while.

I&M Bank Rwanda is all about financial inclusion and therefore users will be encouraged to tag someone who is not a client and encourage them to join an institution known for delivering satisfaction and efficiency.

With International Women’s Day just around the corner, tagging a woman who is worth celebrating and adding a touching message could win you a Sunday brunch for two at a 5 star hotel in Kigali. Likewise, the most engaged social media person will be rewarded with Sunday brunch at the same hotel.
