President Kagame attends the closing ceremony of the 26th edition of the FESPACO alongside President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré and First Lady Sika Kaboré of Burkina Faso, President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta and First Lady Keïta Aminata Maïga of Mali, and former Ghanaian President Jerry John Rawlings.

The event saw Rwandan film director Joel Karekezi awarded the 'Etalon d'Or de Yennenge' for his film "The Mercy of the Jungle".
