The University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) men and women teams dominated the 2019 the annual Father Emmanuel Kayumba memorial volleyball tournament that ended on Sunday.

In the final matches staged at Groupe Scolaire de Butare (Indatwa n’Inkesha School) men’s side beat Gisagara volleyball club 3-0 (25-18, 25-14 and 25-21) in the final game.

In the women’s category, UTB women’s volleyball club edged Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) 3-1 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-13).

In Serie B results, Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis Karubanda defeated Groupe Scolaire St Philippe Neri 3-0 (25-22, 25-23 and 25-20).

Besides the trophy, UTB won a cash prize worth Rwf300, 000 while first runners-up Gisagara received Rwf 200,000 the same prizes went to the winners in the women category; UTB and RRA as champions and runners-up respectively.

In Serie B, winners Petit Seminaire Virgo Fidelis Karubanda received Rwf100,000, prize while first runners-up Groupe Scolaire St Philippe Neri received 50,000.
