Mukura Vs Etincelles 15:30

Etincelles FC will be seeking to win their rescheduled game against Mukura Victory Sports when the two Azam Rwanda Premier League sides face off at Huye Stadium on Monday.

On the other hand, Mukura look to return to their winning ways and will be shooting for the second spot after dropping points in defeat to Police and draw with Musanze in their last three games where they only recorded one win – against Amagaju.

Abdul Kalim Nduhirabandi’s Etincelles face an uphill task against a team that is yet to lose at home this season. Besides their draw with AS Kigali last November, Mukura have won all their games at Huye Stadium.

"It will be tough but the objective is to try and get maximum points. We will go into the game looking for victory to move us up on the table,” said Nduhirabandi.

Should 11th-placed Etincelles pull off a shock win over Francis Haringingo’s side, they will jump to 10th position, level at 18 points with Bugesera FC.

In a separate interview, Haringingo said, "We have not been consistent lately, which makes Monday’s game a must-win for us. My players are physically and mentally well-prepared for the task.”

Mukura, who will play Gicumbi on Thursday, have 30 points from 13 points and wins from both encounters will not only see them dislodging Rayon Sports into the second position, but will also lift them to the top – at the expense of champions APR who lead the table with 35 points.

Eight-time champions Rayon Sports are second with 31 points.

Peace Cup holders Mukura saw a number of their league matches rescheduled earlier in the season due to their involvement in continental football.

The black-and-yellow outfit were eliminated – by Sudanese giants Al Hilal – from the CAF Confederation Cup in the playoffs round last month.
