Musanze Vs Mukura 15:30

Hopefuls Mukura Victory Sports will be keen on securing another victory when they travel to Ubworoherane Stadium for their Azam Rwanda Premier League clash against Musanze on Wednesday afternoon.

The long-awaited match-day 11 fixture was initially scheduled for last month but it was postponed due to Mukura’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Victory for Francis Haringingo’s men will see the Huye-based side leapfrogging Rayon Sports into the second position with 32 points, one ahead of the Blues and three adrift of leaders APR.

Mukura have played three games less.

"We need to win (against Musanze) and continue our chase for top spot. We know Musanze are a tricky side at home, but are determined and ready for the challenge. My players understand well that it is a must-win match,” said head coach Francis Haringingo.

After the away encounter against Musanze, Mukura will next host Etincelles on February 4 before winding up their rescheduled fixtures against Gicumbi on February 7.

In a separate interview with Times Sport on Tuesday, Musanze head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha urged his players to ‘fight to keep the three points at home’ as they look to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

The Musanze District-sponsored side are 13th-placed with 12 points, having only managed three wins and three draws in their first fourteen games this term.

Peace Cup holders Mukura saw a number of their league matches rescheduled earlier in the season due to their involvement in continental football.
