APR will have a chance to rectify what went wrong on match-day one when they take on Etincelles in their second match of the 2019 Heroes Cup tournaments on Tuesday.

The military side, who lost 1-0 to AS Kigali in the opening match, go head-to-head with Etincelles at Kigali Stadium this afternoon, starting at 3:30pm.

"It would be unbearable to lose two games in a space of three days, which is why we are taking the match [against Etincelles] very seriously,” said Jimmy Mulisa, the APR head coach.

In a separate interview, Etincelles coach Nduhirabandi told Times Sport that "beating APR will be tough, but not impossible” and that will be his team’s target as they seek to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of holders Rayon Sports over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Roberto Oliveira’s Rayon will be up against AS Kigali, at 6pm – same venue, with both sides seeking to win and increase their chances of winning the title.

"Every game is big and important for us. We know we are facing one of the best teams in the country, we must focus and make no mistake, especially in our defence,” said AS Kigali’s Burundian tactician, Djuma Masudi.

Ahead of their much anticipated clash, Rayon and AS Kigali are level on three points, but the former lead courtesy of a superior (2) goal difference.
