Patriots will be seeking to make light work of lowly United Generation for Basketball (UGB) when the two league sides square-off on Saturday in Day 1 of the 2019 National Heroes Day Basketball Tournament.

The game will kick-off at 5pm, at Cercle Sportifs de Kigali.

According to Patriots head coach Henry Mwinuke, his men are fit to challenge for the title losing to archrivals Rwanda Energy Group (REG) in last year’s final.

In another awaited clash, holders REG take on IPRC-South, at 3pm, while the opening match will pit APR and 30-Plus at 1pm, same venue.

The opening day will see teams tussling it out in five games, three in men’s category and two in the female section.

Huye-based IPRC-South, who face Ubumwe at UR-CST on Saturday, are the title holders in women’s category.
