It is expected – as always – to be an exciting volleyball battle on Friday night when Rwanda Energy Group and rivals UTB face-off in Heroes Cup at Amagoro Stadium.

The highly anticipated game will get underway at 7pm, and will be preceded by another game, pitting Gisagara and APR – starting at 5pm.

Ahead of the clash between the two giants, Fidele Nyirimana’s UTB top the league table with 28 points from their mid-week victory over APR, while REG are second-placed with 23 points.

The Kicukiro-based versity side, UTB, have never won against REG since their establishment in 2017.

The two national volleyball league rivals go head-to-head with each aiming to get off to a perfect start in the group campaign as they target the first silverware of the 2018-19 season.

Along with Kirehe, REG and UTB make Pool B while Pool A includes holders Gisagara, APR and IPRC-East.
