SCANDINAVIA WFC head coach Radjab Bizumuremyi has set her sights on winning the league title this upcoming season after falling just short of the feat last season.

The next season gets underway February 10.

This will be the Rubavu-based side’s second season in the national league having finished in second position in their debut season in topflight league last year.

Speaking to Times Sport, Bizumuremyi said: "The target in our second year in division one is to achieve more than last year and that means winning the title.

"If we finished in second place and lost once – against eventual champions AS Kigali last season – it means that better preparations will lead us to even greater things in the upcoming season.”

On January 31, Scandinavia will take on AS Kigali in the National Heroes Day football tournament.
