Rwamagana, Intare square off in Div2 league

Rwamagana City will be seeking to become the first team to beat Intare in second division football league this season when the two sides meet at Rwamagana grounds on Saturday.

The game will get underway at 2:30pm.

The former Azam Rwanda Premier League side, Rwamagana, are in sixth position with 7 points after five match rounds in Group B, six points behind leaders Intare. The latter have played one game less.

"We want to make the most of home advantage for the three points, my players are determined for the mission. We are facing a strong opponent, and we may be underestimated as underdogs, but it won’t be a walkover for Intare,” Rwamagana head coach Hassan Muhire told this publication on Friday.

"We will do everything possible for victory,” he added.

Besides the Rwamagana versus Intare in Group B, Hope will be delighting Miroplast at Mukebera grounds, with Unity facing Gitikinyoni at Mageragere grounds, while Pepiniere will be up against Interforce at Ruyenzi playground.

In Pool A, Vision FC and Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle face off at Mumena Stadium at 1pm, Sorwathe host La Jeunesse at Kinihira grounds at 2:30pm, whilst Aspor will play Esperance at Mumena Stadium at 3:30pm.
