Kiyovu Vs Musanze 15:30

Musanze will be seeking to bounce back from their five-match winless run when they face SC Kiyovu in Azam Rwanda Premier League at Mumena Stadium on Friday. Kick off 3:30pm.

Emmanuel Ruremesha’s side have won a single game since December 15 when they Marines 1-0 at Ubworoherane Stadium.

On the other hand, Kiyovu will be looking to extend their winning streak to four victories in a row after beating Espoir, Police and Amagaju in their last three games.

The ‘Green Baggies’ are in fourth position with 23 points from 14 games, three points adrift of third-placed Mukura Victory Sports who have played four games less.

In an interview with Times Sport on Thursday, Musanze head coach Ruremesha warned the hosts that "Musanze will fight with all they got” for the crucial three points.

"We will go into the game looking for nothing other than a win and I am confident in my players to do the job. We lately lost many games, but that’s history, we must look forward and focus on the task at hand,” said the former Rayon Sports coach.

After 13 match rounds, the Musanze District-sponsored side have only managed three wins, and picked up one point – in a 2-all draw against Bugesera – from their last five games.

Separately, his SC Kiyovu counterpart, Allain Kirasa, told this publication that he desperately needs to win the game and close the gap to the top.

"We are well-prepared but, we are also aware that Musanze will be tough as they try to turn their fortunes around. We will need to be careful, defend well and be efficient in the attack,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the game that would pit Gicumbi against Mukura has been postponed due to the latter’s CAF Confederation Cup match against Al Hilal of Sudan on Saturday.
