Mukura Vs Hilal Obayed

Hilal Obayed head coach Francis Elliott Nuttall has warned that his men are confident and determined to put up a spirited fight when they take on Mukura for a ticket to second round of the 2018-19 CAF Confederation Cup.

Rwanda’s Mukura, and the Sudanese side, will go head-to-head in the decisive game at Huye Stadium on Saturday after sharing goalless spoils in the first-leg, in Sudan, last Saturday.

El Hilal Sports Club El Obeid, also known as Hilal Obayed, arrived in the country on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the do-or-die clash.

Speaking to members of the press after landing at Kigali International Airport, Elliott Nuttall said, "The team has intentions of being a bit more ruthless, especially in the attack, against Mukura on Saturday. We want to progress to the second round and we know what it takes.”

However, the British tactician also conceded that, "It will be a tough call to beat Mukura at home, failure to win the first-leg was a mistake that might come to haunt us”.

Hilal Obayed, who reached the round of last eight of the same competition last year, traveled as a 34-member strong delegation, including 23 players and 11 officials, and immediately headed to Huye District where they would have two training sessions before Saturday’s heated affair.

Francis Haringingo’s Mukura need to win the home leg to be assured of a spot to the playoffs round, which would grant them passage to the lucrative group stages.

Mukura secured a slot in the round of 32 after sending South Africa’s Free State Stars packing in the preliminary round.
