DHL, an express delivery company, is targeting more than 70,000 clients this year, Zac Mbanda the firm’s Sales Manager has said.

"The benefits of express delivery service were not very common and exploited by the local business community sometime back,” Mbanda said.

”But now our clients have embraced our specialty solutions for businesses which are on offer by our brand,” he added.  According to Mbanda, DHL’s world class service offering has led to the local franchise firm witnessing increased users.

DHL a global brand has been in existence for decades. It has operated in Rwanda for over 10 years through its local franchisee Gill Trading company.

The arrangement has seen the local operations experiencing a large yet fast growing customer base translating it into one of the nation’s fastest growing service companies.

Consequently due to their commitment to express delivery, the company received an award for being one of the most exemplary taxpayers by the Rwanda Revenue Authority, a clear sign that DHL’s local presence is equally benefiting the Rwandan economy.

William Mwiseneza, the Customer Care Manager revealed that DHL recently introduced the excel logistics a service offering in which a client hands over its entire shipping requirements to DHL and it incorporates its world class logistics to provide unparalleled  service.

"Ever since we introduced this new service, we have witnessed  increased new customer levels and this positive trend is set continue’, Mwiseneza Added.
