Kigali Jazz Junction

Celebrated Congolese Rumba and world music icon M’bilia Bel will perform in Kigali today December 7 at the Kigali Jazz Junction’s year-ender edition at the Kigali Serena Hotel. Local R&B and Soul singer Mike Kayihura and Neptunez Band will pair with M’bilia Bel on stage.

The LIT conference

Local gospel outfit Beauty for Ashes Rwanda is hosting a four-day youth conference dubbed ‘The LIT conference’ in Kigali that began yesterday and ends on Sunday, December 9, at their newly acquired home in Kicukiro (the former Soho Fitness Centre). It will be spiced up by live gospel music performances while Kenyan gospel music singer Bruz Newton of the Zigwembe fame will perform as guest artiste alongside the Beauty for Ashes Band and the Alive and Free Band, an upcoming band.

Photography exhibition

Kigali Centre for photography will on Saturday December 8 celebrate their first anniversary and will officially open their exhibition "Look inside Rwanda. Their main goal is to change the perspectives and stereotypes about Rwanda and promote photography in Rwanda. Locally based photographers and international photographers submitted their work about Rwanda’s beauty, resilience and nuance, from history through today.

Jazz with Stella

Up and coming jazz musician, Stella Tushabe performs at Hotel Villa Portofino this Sunday. Tushabe plays her saxophone alongside Evy Ngabo (Piano) and Delphine Manishimwe (vocalist) at the show which starts from 6pm to 10pm. Held at the poolside, her show dubbed #JazzWithStella is free of charge and there are many promos on drinks and food.
