Mugiraneza has issued a rallying call to his teammates ahead of the tie against Tunisian side Club Africain . Sam Ngendahimana.

APR FC captain Jean Baptiste ‘Migi’ Mugiraneza says his side can have a good run on their return to continental football.

The Rwandan champions will be up Tunisian giants Club Africain in the preliminary round, a side that humiliated and dumped them out of the competition seven years ago.

Ljubomir Petrovic’s team will start their campaign at home on November 28 before heading to Tunis for the return leg which will be staged at Stade Olympique de Radès on December 5.

And Mugiraneza has urged his teammates to stay focused going into the Champions League fixtures.

"We have to give our best against them, especially in first leg at home, and winning this game will give us more confidence and a chance of qualifying to the next round,” said the veteran midfielder. "We have a chance to do well this time around.”

"We need to be more focused than time before, be determined and also believe that we have the ability not only to beat them but also to qualify,” he added.

He added: "We know we are facing a good side but I believe it’s possible to score many goals from home,” he added.

APR lost to Club Africain 2-6 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the same competition in 2011.

The two sides drew 2-2 in Kigali before the military side suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat in Tunis.
