President Paul Kagame insists it is "not impossible” for German giants Bayern Munich to eliminate Real Madrid from the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

The Bavarians knocked Kagame’s favourite team Arsenal out of the quarterfinals to set a semifinal date with the Los Blancos who also advanced to the last four after beating Manchester City 4-3 on penalties after the pair played out a 4-4 draw on aggregate.

Bayern are chasing their seventh Champions League but they will have to eliminate the 14-time winners who are standing in their way in the semifinal round whose first leg is scheduled for April 30.

However, with zeal, Kagame believes the Bundesliga giants can see off Madrid and qualify to keep their dream alive.

"For FCBayern forward we go with same determination. Not impossible to overcome #RealMadrid ...It is all football spirit!!" The head of state posted on his x account.

Bayern Munich is one of three clubs who are strategic partners of "Visit Rwanda” alongside French side Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.

Visit Rwanda's partnership deal with the German club will run until 2028.
