Rayon Sports’ striker Bonfils Caleb Bimenyimana is reportedly in talks with DR Congo giants TP Mazembe for a possible move during the January 2019 transfer window.

According to reports, the five-time African champions TP Mazembe are willing to pay as much as Rwf87.6m (USD100,000) to secure the Burundian striker’s signature and he will be earning USD4000 a month.

Speculations linking Bimenyimana with TP Mazembe come just days after it was reported that he had also been in talks with Nigeria heavyweights Enyimba SC. Times Sport understands that Enyimba failed to meet Rayon Sports and their striker’s demands.

By press time Thursday, Bimenyimana was unavailable for a comment but close sources told this publication that he is negotiating his buyout clause with his club so he can join TP Mazembe in January.

Bimenyimana, who made his name at Rayon Sports this year during the Total CAF Confederation Cup matches against Gor Mahia, Yanga and Enyimba, has also been monitored by Kenyan champions Gor Mahia and, as well as Tanzania giants Simba SC and Young Africans.

Rayon Sports Secretary General Bernard King Itangishaka refused to disclose teams that are courting the striker but underlined that the club would not turn down "enticing offers” for any of their players.
